Japanese Fulling Wool
Japanese wool designed by Hiroshi Murase. Made of a
looser weave, this wool fulls exceptionally well. Note: "Charcoal Grey"
and "Chocolate" are made of differently colored warp/weft yarns. DESIGN IDEAS:
Fulling wool gauze can be used with a resist paste recipe to dramatic
effect thanks to the wool's radical shrinking ability. Shibori
patterning or stencil application of fulling resist paste can achieve
three-dimensional texture, or a play of transparency against opacity in a
lace-like treatment. See some of the great creative possibilities of

- PRICING: Priced per meter, in USD (1m=39in). Sold in WHOLE meter increments only. Minimum = 3m per any single color.
- MEASURING: Some variation in length may
occur due to measuring practices. General measuring practice at the
mill is to use "warp length." This means fabric warp is taut when
measured. Length under tension is longer than length under NO tension
(NO tension is not possible at the mill). We measure under some tension and err on the generous side. Please be advised to take this into account when you measure what you receive.
- DISCOUNTS: given for larger volume, based on combined wool total. Example: 10m (grey) + 15m (brown) = 25m combined, thus both fabrics use the discounted price bracket for 25-49m
- STOCK: We do not take back orders. Our inventory is
